Posting, Effectiveness, and Amendment of the Terms

2. Within the scope supported by the operating system, users may choose the permission scope, including access to all photos, access to some photos, or no access.
3. If a user permits access only to some photos, Picory may provide related features only within the scope of the photos the user permitted.
4. If a user does not permit photo access or withdraws existing permission, use of some features, including photo indexing, automatic classification, and duplicate photo detection and organization, may be restricted.
5. If a user permits access only to some photos, Picory endeavors not to determine that inaccessible photos were simply deleted.
Original Photos and On-Device Processing
1. In principle, Picory does not upload or store users' original photo files on Picory servers.
2. Original photos are managed based on the user's operating system photo library.
3. Major photo analysis functions, including automatic photo classification and exact duplicate photo detection, are in principle performed within the user's device.
4. Certain local identification information and duplicate-determination information generated for photo analysis and duplicate detection are in principle processed within the device.
5. Picory does not provide its own photo-cloud backup service for storing or restoring users' original photos.
6. Accordingly, Picory's login or synchronization feature must not be understood as having the same function as original-photo backup services such as Google Photos or iCloud.
7. Picory local data within the device may be deleted or original photos may no longer be viewable due to app deletion, app data deletion, device initialization, or changes to the operating system photo library.
8. Users are responsible for backing up important original photos requiring preservation by appropriate separate means.
Automatic Photo Classification
1. Picory may automatically classify photos by using image analysis technology.
2. Due to characteristics of automatic classification technology, photos may be classified into categories different from their actual content or some photos may not be classified accurately.
3. Users may directly correct automatic classification results or change them to other categories using features provided by Picory.
4. Classification results directly corrected or specified by users take precedence over automatic classification results.
5. The Company does not guarantee that automatic classification results are accurate or complete in every case.
6. The automatic classification feature is a convenience feature provided to help users organize photos.
Exact Duplicate Photo Detection
1. Picory's exact duplicate photo detection feature is in principle a feature for detecting photos with identical file contents.
2. The following photos may not be determined to be exact duplicate photos even when visually similar.
1. Edited photos
2. Recompressed photos
3. Photos whose resolution or file format has changed
4. Similar photos created through continuous shooting or similar means
5. Other photos whose file contents are not entirely identical
3. Picory does not automatically and permanently delete detected duplicate photos.
4. Users must directly review and select photos to delete and, if the operating system requires separate approval, must directly approve that procedure.
Photo Deletion
1. When a user requests photo deletion in Picory, Picory uses the photo deletion procedure provided by the operating system.
2. If the operating system requires separate deletion confirmation or approval, the user must directly approve the procedure provided by the system.
3. If deletion is approved, the original photo may be deleted from the operating system's photo library, rather than merely hidden from the Picory screen.
4. Picory does not retain a separate copy of original photos deleted by users on Picory servers.
5. Whether a deleted photo can be restored, the restoration method, and the retention period are governed by the Recently Deleted items or trash policy provided by the user's operating system, such as Android, or its default photo management application.
6. A photo permanently deleted even from the operating system's Recently Deleted items or trash cannot be restored through Picory.
7. Before photo deletion, the Company provides guidance so that users can confirm that the action may result in deletion of the original photo from the device photo library.
8. If a user cancels the operating system's deletion request, Picory endeavors not to process the photo as deleted.
Membership Registration and Accounts
1. A Picory account is an optional feature for using data synchronization, restoration of the Picory organization state when changing devices, and similar functions.
2. Picory membership registration is available only to users 14 years of age or older.
3. Users under 14 years of age cannot create a Picory member account.
4. Users must confirm during membership registration that they are at least 14 years of age.
5. Picory membership registration and login currently occur through the Google Sign-In method provided by the Company.
6. The Company may refuse an application for membership registration or subsequently restrict or terminate the service agreement in any of the following cases.
1. Unauthorized use of another person's account or information
2. Registration using false information
3. Confirmation that the user is under 14 years of age
4. Registration for the purpose of interfering with normal operation of the Service

7. Members must manage their Google account and authentication means to prevent improper use by third parties.
8. If a member becomes aware that an account has been stolen or improperly used, the member may notify the Company.
Picory Data Synchronization
1. Logged-in members may synchronize Picory Data to the server to the extent supported by the Company.
2. Synchronized information may include the following Picory Data.
1. Identification information and metadata for matching photos
2. Automatic classification results or classifications designated by the user
3. Favorites information
4. Collections and collection order
5. Home screen frame settings
6. Other service data necessary to provide Picory synchronization features
3. Original photo files are not included in Picory synchronization.
4. Certain information used only within the device, such as paths to local photos, is not included in server synchronization.
5. If an internet connection is unavailable or connection to the server is not smooth, local on-device features may continue to be available to the extent possible, but server synchronization may be delayed.
6. Temporary synchronization failures may occur due to network failures, server failures, or device conditions.
Device Changes and Data Restoration
1. If a member logs in with the same Picory account on a new device or after reinstalling the app, the Company may attempt to restore the existing organization state by matching Picory Data stored on the server with photos present on the new device.
2. Because identification information assigned to photos by the operating system may change during a device change or reinstallation, Picory may attempt to match existing photos using identification information and metadata representing photo characteristics.
3. To reduce incorrect matching of different photos, the Company endeavors to automatically link existing Picory Data only where it determines that the confidence level is sufficient.
4. If it is difficult to determine clearly whether a photo is the same, Picory may treat it as a new photo or may not automatically link existing organization data.
5. If the relevant original photo is not on the new device, the original photo itself cannot be displayed or restored even if Picory Data remains on the server.
6. Picory's synchronization and restoration feature is not a photo-cloud backup feature that restores original photos themselves.
Membership Withdrawal and Account Deletion
1. Members may at any time request membership withdrawal and deletion of their Picory account through the following in-app path.
- - Settings > Account > Withdraw Membership
2. If the Company provides an external account deletion request webpage or customer support channel, members may also request account deletion through that method.
3. Once membership withdrawal is completed, the Company deletes the following information held on the server, except where retention is required under applicable laws.
1. Picory member account
2. Server synchronization data associated with the member
3. The member's synchronized data, including classifications, favorites, and collections
4. Other Picory Data stored on the server in association with the member account
4. Membership withdrawal does not delete original photos stored in the user's device photo library.
5. Because Picory's core local features may also be used by non-members, membership withdrawal alone may not automatically delete Picory local organization data stored on the user's device.
6. Users who wish to delete Picory local data stored on their device may use the separate local data reset feature provided by the Company or the operating system's app data deletion feature.
7. Deleting the app from a device alone does not automatically delete the Picory member account or server synchronization data.
8. Specific matters regarding account deletion and personal information deletion are governed by the Company's Privacy Policy and data deletion policy.
